Increased Services: through association with a variety of health care facilities and professional services, residents can be assured of increased care as the need arises. Emergency care is nearby, lifeline services readily available, home health care options obtainable, high quality food service, dietary needs addressed, and assistance in obtaining the highest quality health care available. In addition, out of town residents can utilize a predetermined doctor referral program along with medication resources, ambulatory aid services, senior activities, and community and transportation services that may otherwise take them some time to discover on their own. The combination of better design and increased services is expected to contribute to better resident wellness and increase the time they can remain in the same environment. These units are designed to accommodate wheel chair usage and even rehabilitation when needed without going to another facility due to increased dependency on attentive care. With the ability to lift, move, and rehabilitate within the apartments and/or the facility, this care can be provided through professional home health care services, hospital, and/or clinic services on site allowing the resident to remain ‘at home’. Clinic function: the proximity of a major clinic allows additional services to be provided such as doctor referral, basic health evaluations, nurse availability, group and individual physical and occupational therapy, operation recovery management, and special diet expertise, are all possibilities through clinic services.
